Meanwhile, acting with absolute and utter chutzpah the American administration has demanded that "Russia to cease attacks on Georgia by aircraft and missiles, respect Georgia's territorial integrity, and withdraw its ground combat forces from Georgian soil...".
Because, as we all know, respecting territorial integrity is the hallmark of the Bush Administration and the American government.

Calling on NATO to “stabilize this dangerous situation” is not going down well with Russia, where images of dead Russian peacekeepers and of frightened Ossetian refugees streaming across its borders have put the country in a very vengeful mood. It’s hard to imagine what measures NATO could take under a McCain presidency, but in the mind of a man who thinks US troops should stay in Iraq for 100 years, and who runs around singing “Bomb Bomb Iran!” it’s not hard to guess–and even harder not to be horrified by what it may mean come January 2009, should he win.

McCain’s call to NATO-ize the war is not only frightening, it’s also delusional: both NATO and US forces are already stretched beyond the breaking point, even by Joint Chief of Staff chairman Michael Millen’s own recent assessment.

Stunning and laughable hypocrisy, once one examines what is really happening in Georgia and Ossetia.

I read with absolute and utter amazement your one sided attack piece on "Muslims/Palestinians" today in the Toronto Sun and felt compelled to reply, just so that you are aware that not all of us are compelled to acquiesce to the constant Zionist lie machine that is such an integral part of the Western and shamefully, the Canadian media.
Many more Canadians, including Jewish Canadians, are starting to feel the same way about Israel and Zionist journalists like yourself who present their one sided views, day after day without so much as a opportunity for retort from the other perspective.

You talk about how "hatred" from "extremist Muslims". Lets take a little look at the hatred that emanates from Israel and its representatives.

So, Ms. Jacobs, as you can see, and I have provided ample examples, while Muslim extremism most certainly does exist, those of us in the know realize that this extremism is also present on the other side of the coin, and in spades. There are two sides to every story, and despite your attempts to ensure that Canadians remain unaware, there are thousands of us who now feel compelled to speak up when we see examples of such poor, one sided editorial. Unfortunately, the opposite side is rarely either given the opportunity nor even permitted to have their side of the story addressed, which is one of the reasons why print media is becoming a slowly dying dinosaur.
Your attempt today to demonize and dehumanize Palestinians as the ones responsible for the inability of the Americans to achieve a lasting peace in the region is sad at best. I doubt anyone will be hearing the other side of the story in any of your columns anytime soon, yet you continue to call yourself a journalist. You are nothing more than a mouthpiece for one sided, disgusting propaganda. How DARE YOU point fingers at the Palestinian people and call for a change of attitude while completely ignoring the hatred that emanates from the leadership of Israel.

Israelis and Palestinians want a negotiated resolution. New Democrats are encouraged by the results of a public opinion research published in the Israeli daily newspaper Ha’aretz indicating that a significant majority of Israelis want their government to negotiate a ceasefire with Hamas.
The NDP is urging the Canadian government to work with the world community to call for an immediate ceasefire. We urge the Palestinian leadership to resolve their differences to enhance the prospect of a peaceful resolution. We also urge the government of Israel to cease its blockade of Gaza since, during the present state of escalated violence, the blockade is pushing the civilian health system of Gaza to the brink of collapse, and is running the risk of contravening the prohibition against “collective punishment”.

What will it take for the New Democratic Party to actually condemn this one sided attack in which over 100 Palestinians have been killed, a third of them children? Apparently 100 Palestinian lives are equal to the lives of 1 or 2 Israelis. Disproportion is an understatement Mr.Layton. This is murder on a mass scale.
What would the reaction be if the opposite were true? We would hear worldwide condemnation of the "terror attacks" upon the Israelis, not politicizing and wishy-washy fence sitting. Why then, when Israel launches what is basically a terror attack upon a civilian population, will you, and the NDP Party not stand up and say it is wrong, without attempting to make it seem as though the violence is even handed on both sides? As though Hamas has attacked Tel Aviv with jets and attack helicopters, or Palestinians are rumbling through Netanya in armoured tanks?

Everyone in government and every field of endeavor the world over is defined by their position on this event. It is not necessary to know the truth. It is only necessary to know the extent of the lies in order to define any leader in any position anywhere in the world. By what they have said and by what they have not said, one can accurately judge who is an enemy of the people’s of the world. One can accurately determine who is a tool of the psychopaths or one of them.

Think about what you allow yourself to know. Think about what you pass by; ignore, deny and defend ...that defines you. It defines the degree of your personal courage, your relationship to the truth, your values, your principles and what you will pass on to your children and everyone you meet. It tells you in that place where your conscience must once have lived whether you are a hypocrite and a fool or whether something greater still lives within you.

Things continue to look very very gloomy on the economic front. Famed investor Jim Rogers thinks so, and so do the people running the businesses.

Rogue State Israel Continues its War Crimes in Gaza

The Nazi fascist apartheid government of Israel continues its policies of collective punishment, genocide and war crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, while the world looks on horrified shock and the illegitimate Western governments turn a blind eye.
Israel, propped up by their puppet regime in Washington, continues the starvation and strangulation of the Gaza Strip while the UN once again feebly protests in vain.
Israel practices collective punishment, cutting off fuel supplies and leaving the Palestinians in the dark. This catastrophe, this inhuman war crime, will affect hospitals, medical clinics, water wells, houses, factories, all aspects of life. Israel began an escalated denial of food and other necessary supplies to Gaza after Israel declared the civilian population of Gaza to be a "hostile entity.
Meanwhile, of course, the Western media, ignores the death, ignores the destruction and the wrath foisted upon the Palestinian people by the apartheid Israeli government. Could it be any more clear at this point that the media is complicit in the war crimes of Israel, and that the Western media has become nothing more than a tool of Israeli and Zionist interests? Apparently Britney Spears meltdowns and America's Top Model are much more important than the ongoing war crimes and collective Nazi-like punishment of the Palestinian people.


So what can we do?
First, as a small gesture, add your name to the petition to stop the siege of Gaza.
If you are a Canadian, you can fax, email or write your MP and DEMAND that the Canadian government tell Israel to cease its war crimes.
If you are an American, a Brit, an Australian, or wherever you live, do the same. Take 15 minutes to get in touch with your federal representative and demand that they take action and force Israel to end the terror they are perpetrating on the Palestinian people.
We can also boycott businesses and corporations who do business with Israel until Israel stops its war crimes and becomes a civilized nation.
We can encourage brave Israelis and Jews who speak out about the terror tactics of their government being carried out in the name of their people. Thank you to every single Israeli and every single Jewish person who bravely stands against this horror.
