Why the Silence from our Politicians on the Israeli Terror in Gaza?

How long is the Canadian government going to remain silently assenting the Israeli invasion, siege and massacre of the Gaza Strip? Why does the Canadian government and most of the Members and Leaders of Parliament continue to be either silent or pretend that Israel is somehow justified in its actions? Why are the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister of this country so cowardly and afraid of the various pro-Israel lobbies that they cannot even speak their conscious on this issue? Where is your backbone, sirs? This is a massacre, ladies and gentlemen. We know the story from the Israeli perspective-they are fighting 'terror' and 'defending themselves'. When the kill ratio is 50 or 75 to 1 how can this possibly be classified as self defense? They are creating infinitely much more terror than they are stopping. How many more innocent babies have to die in their cribs and how many more Gazan Palestinian families have to suffer from Israeli terror before the Canadian government will issue a statement condemning, once again, for the umpteenth time, a vicious and extremely heavy handed attack on a civilian population?
